A Guide To Colour Correcting

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to do a post on colour correcting. There are so many products now that are specially designed for colour correcting; including primers, concealers and powders. Colour correcting products may look a little crazy, but they can be great when used correctly. Each shade has a specific issue that they are specially formulated to conceal, and I am going to talk about each shade today.

Purple/Lilac: Lilac mutes yellow undertones as well as illuminating the skin for a healthy looking glow.

Peach/Salmon: Peach concealers add radiance to the skin as well as covering blue toned under eye circles and dark spots.

Yellow: Yellow brightens skin and conceals purple tones such as bruises.

Green: Green neutralises and reduces redness, this is perfect for covering blemishes that are red.

Products to consider: MUA Pro Base Prime & Conceal Palette (£4.00) // MUA Pro Base Prime & Conceal Powder (£4.00) // Smashbox Colour Correcting Primer (£25.50) // YSL Touche Eclat Colour Correcting Pens (£25.00 each) // KIKO Colour Correcting Concealer Wheel (£12.90)

I hope that this colour correcting guide is useful for you! Let me know in the comments which colour correcting products are your favourites:)

Until next time,
Emily xo
