If I Could Design My Own Palette...

Hello everyone!

I wanted to do this blog post a little while ago but somehow I just never got round to it. I love palettes because they combine a range of different products that are all in one place, meaning they can be ideal for travelling. I have a lot of favourite products but that means I have to take lots of individual products with me on holiday. Today I am going to be sharing all of the items I would put in a palette if I could design my own.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder:
Probably my all time favourite pressed powder is the Stay Matte, so a palette with this in would be amazing. This powder has everything that I ever look for in a powder as it is really light weight and makes my skin look really blurred and flawless. Once I set my makeup with this powder I am good to go for the rest of the day and I very rarely get shiny, unless it is really hot outside.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer:
The next product in my palette would be the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. This is such a great bronzer because it can also be used as a transition shade in the crease. This bronzer is great for my lighter skin and doesn't make me look unnaturally orange, which I can find to be a problem with a lot of bronzers.

The Balm Mary Lou Highlighter:
This highlighter is probably the highlighter I reach for the most often as it is a champagne shade, which is really wearable for everyday. The pigmentation on this highlighter is amazing as you can lightly dust the highlighter on for a more natural finish, or you can really pack it on if you want an intense highlighted look. I also sometimes use this highlighter on my eye lids as well as in the inner corner of my eyes. This, like the Hoola bronzer is such a multi task product that I just couldn't not include it!

Eye Shadows:
When it comes to my eye shadow I basically do similar, if not the same, looks all of the time. I am not one to step out my comfort zone too often so if I am wearing eye shadow it will usually be a warm toned look. On the very rare occasion I do add a little colour to my eye makeup; even then it's just a burgundy or cranberry shade. I have already mentioned a bronzer which I could use for a transition shade but I like to have options; and so the other transition shade that I would include in my palette is MAC's Saddle from the Warm Neutrals palette. Saddle is a really nice shade as it's matte and it is slightly warmer than Hoola. The next eye shadow I would include in my palette is the Kylie Cosmetics Brick eye shadow, which is from the Burgundy Palette. I like adding Brick to create depth in my eyes as it's a nice warm toned dark chocolate shade. The final eye shadow which I would include in my custom palette is from the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. The shade I am talking about is called Luscious, and this is gorgeous as it's a very glittery shade.

Kylie Cosmetics Dolce K:
For a while now I have only been wearing cool toned dark brown lip colours, and Dolce K was one of them. My Dolce K is now pretty much empty (very sad, I know!) but I would definitely include this in my palette if it was in cream form, because you obviously can't put liquids in a palette!

Wouldn't it be so convenient if I had the majority of my face, eye and lip products all in one place?! What would you put in your palette?

Until next time,
Emily xo
