The A To Z Book Tag

Hello everyone!

I have been reading so much recently and when I saw this book related tag on Jemmas Simple Life I just knew that I had to do it! I do love a good tag post every now and again, so expect similar posts in the future:)

Author you have read the most books from:
I actually wasn't sure about this one so I had a quick look through my book collection and saw that I don't have multiple books from any authors. I really enjoy reading varied writing styles which is why I don't tend to religiously read every book that a particular author has ever produced. The authors I have been enjoying recently, however, include Paige Toon, Adam Silvera and Emery Lord.

Best sequel ever:
I actually don't think that I have read any sequels, which is quite shocking I suppose! There is a sequel which I am going to be buying very soon; but I will get onto that later.

Currently reading:
I am currently reading The One We Fell In Love With by Paige Toon. I am about 60 pages in at the moment and I love the story line. I have really been getting into romance books recently; as I used to prefer to read thriller style books.

Drink of choice when reading:
If I am reading a really good book then I don't tend to drink anything because I am always so into the story line that I forget to drink. I do love to make myself a nice cup of tea before I start reading a book, but it tends to go cold most of the time!

E-reader or physical book:
I definitely prefer a physical book. I got an e-reader a few years ago but I stopped using it after a few weeks as I really missed holding a book. I know e-readers can be great as you can take them on holiday and they don't take up luggage allowance, but I just find it so hard to read when I don't have a physical book in my hands!

Glad you gave a book a chance:
I am a big fan of YouTube and I love to support YouTubers by purchasing their books as and when they release them, but I never expect too much. I was very surprised by Joe Sugg's graphic novels (Username:Evie and Username:Regenerated) as I really enjoyed them. I had never read a graphic novel before then, but I would definitely read more if I found genres that I am particularly interested in. I am actually going to read them again because they were so good, and it's not often that I read books a second time:)

Hidden gem:
It's not a hidden gem as such because it's a very popular book in general, but I am including it in this section as I really haven't met anyone else who has read this book. It is Anne Frank The Diary Of A Young Girl, and it was such a brilliant read. I read this a long time ago and it was heartbreaking when the diary just suddenly stops on 1st August 1944 (as Anne and her family were captured by the Nazis) but it was a really interesting and inspiring read.

Important moment in your reading life:
I actually cannot think of one...oops!

Just finished:
The last book I finished is called Frozen Charlotte. I mentioned earlier that I want to read the sequel to this book as Frozen Charlotte had an amazing story and really kept me hooked.

Kind of books you won't read:
There isn't a type of book I won't read as I don't have a particular taste. I like to read books of all genres as sometimes you can get a pleasant surprise and enjoy a book which you never expected to like.

Longest book you've ever read:
All of the books I have read have been around the same length. But, I went through my book collection and found out that the longest book I have read is in fact The Girl On The Train, which has 409 pages. I know that there are books out there which are over 1,000 pages so 409 doesn't seem a lot, but it's the longest I own anyway.

Major book hangover:
Most books I read end up in me not wanting to put a book down, but I do have a level of self control so when it gets TOO late I do force myself to stop reading and put the book down. It does frustrate me if I am really into a book and then have to stop reading for one reason or another, but then it leaves me excited to continue reading the next day.

Number of book cases you own:
I actually really need to get a book case of some sort as I don't own one at the moment, and I instead have all of my books stored in Lakeland Faux Rattan Large Storage Basket. I would love to get a book case to display all of my books on; but at the moment the baskets are all I have to work with.

One book you've read multiple times:
I don't think I have ever read a book multiple times but there are a few books which I want to read again.

Preferred place to read:
I usually read in my bedroom, 99% of the time that will be either on or in my bed. I'm not the sort of person who can take a book out the house with me as I really prefer to read in a quiet environment; rather than a busy bus or noisy cafe.

Quote that inspires you:
I can't think of one off the top of my head, but let me know in the comments if you have a book quote which inspires you!

Reading regret:
I don't have any books that I regret reading but I do regret that I never used to read as much as what I do now. I went through a phase where I never read a book for about 2 years, but now that I read pretty much everyday I now wish that I read a few years ago.

Series you started and needed to finish:
I don't tend to read books that come from a series as I don't like to read the same genre for an extended period of time. The only series which I have actually read is the Girl Online series by Zoella. I did thoroughly enjoy all three books and I really hope that Zoe extends the series in the future.

Three favourite books of all time:
This is a very hard one but if I had to choose three then I would say History Is All You Left Me (Adam Silvera), Frozen Charlotte (Alex Bell) and The Girl On The Train (Paula Hawkins).

Unapologetic fan girl for:
I'm not really the fan girl type to be honest!

Very excited for this release:
Charlotte Says; which is a sequel to a book called Frozen Charlotte. This is the book which came to mind earlier when I got onto the 'best sequel ever' section. I read Frozen Charlotte in pretty much one day and I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel as the story line of the first book was very gripping and intense to read. The sequel is already out, but I wanted to include it here anyway:)

Worst bookish habit:
Definitely buying too many books! I buy a few books at once and then it takes me a while to get round to them because I already have a pile of books in my collection which I am yet to read.

X marks the spot- pick the 27th book on your shelf:
I don't have a book shelf, as I mentioned earlier, so I just picked books out of my baskets. The 27th book which I picked out is Binge by Tyler Oakley. Tyler is a YouTuber and Binge was such a fun book to read. If you are looking for a lighthearted book then this would be a great one to go for.

Your latest purchase:
I bought two books before I went on holiday in August; History Is All You Left Me and The Start Of Me And You. I read both books whilst I was away and I enjoyed every second of them!

Zzz snatcher book (the latest book that kept you awake):
The Girl On The Train was a book which I found very hard to put down at bedtime. If I am hooked on a book then that can potentially become dangerous for my sleeping pattern, but the majority of the time I do manage to put it down.

I hope that you enjoyed this fun little tag post! If you do this tag then make sure to leave a link in the comments section and I will definitely check out your post:)
