Winter Themed Makeup Look | Dark Eyes & Lips

Hello everyone!

My favourite makeup looks are always ones that I create around the Autumn and Winter months. It's no secret that I love a good warm eye shadow, and this is especially relevant in the colder months. For today's blog post I thought that I would share a makeup look that I have been wearing continually for a few weeks now. This has been my go to palette over the past few months as the undertones the shades have are perfect for this time of year.

LA Girl Pro Prep HD Smoothing Face Primer:
I usually start by prepping my face with the Benefit Porefessional but I have been loving this LA Girl primer for a little while now. This is so comparable to Porefessional in both texture and in the way it performs. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Benefit primer then I would definitely say that this one is the way to go. I love to take this in my t-zone where I get the most oiliest throughout the day.

Milani 2 in 1 Conceal & Perfect Foundation:
Another current favourite of mine is this Milani foundation. I have mentioned this a couple of times on my blog now as I have been getting quite a lot of use from it. The coverage is really nice and it stays in place all day which is great. I have been wearing this pretty much everyday and I just cannot fault the formula. The shade is a little dark for me as I bought this when I was tanned from my Summer holiday, but it's nothing that a bit of foundation lightener can't fix!

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer:
To brighten up my under eye, forehead, nose and chin I take this LA Girl concealer. This is another product that I only recently started to use. The formula is a lot thinner than I first expected it to be, but this just means that it blends out like a dream on the skin! I will definitely be repurchasing more shades of this concealer as I have been getting on with it very well.

Kat Von D Lock It Loose Setting Powder:
I never thought that I would find a powder that I would use more than my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte, but then I discovered the Kat Von D Lock It powder! This has been such a staple in my everyday makeup routine as it sets my makeup in place ensuring that it doesn't budge all day long. I also like that this is translucent so it doesn't add any colour to the face whatsoever.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eye Shadow Palette:
Taking the Naked Heat palette I mix the shades Sauced and Low Blow together. These two shades create the perfect matte transition shade and adds a nice amount of definition to the eyes to begin with. I then take the shade Cayenne, which is also matte, and blend it halfway into the crease and outer corner. To deepen the outer corner up even further I take En Fuego on a pencil brush and focus it onto the outer corner. Then I take Lumbre, which is a shimmery copper shade with golden undertones, and pack it on the centre of the lid. To finish off the look I finally use Ounce to add a pop of highlight to my inner corner and make my eyes look really wide and awake.

ELF Volumising & Defining Mascara in Jet Black:
This mascara is very self explanatory as it states exactly what it does in the name; volumises and defines. I have a few different mascaras that I am trying out at the minute but I do keep going back to this one because it's reliable and does exactly what it says on the tin. If you're looking for a very affordable (£3!!) drugstore mascara then give this one a try, it won't let you down.

Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette:
I've used this contour palette so much over the past year that I definitely need to be getting a new one sometime soon. I use the same shades religiously as they all work amazingly for me. I'm not going to go on about this palette because I have mentioned it so much on my blog, but it is truly an everyday necessity for me.

Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette:
For highlighter I take the Sleek Solstice palette which contains three powder highlight shades and one cream shade. I like to use a mixture of the two bottom shades, one of which is more golden and one is a peachy toned highlight, and dust it onto my cheekbones and any other areas that I want to highlight. The highlighters in this palette are very buttery and look stunning when applied.

Benefit Gimme Brow:
As I've mentioned previously on my blog, I just comb my brows through with the Benefit Gimme Brow rather than filling them in. I like my brows to look natural and, to be honest, I know that I wouldn't be able to get both brows looking the same if I did more to them!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics X Manny MUA Velour Liquid Lipstick in Daddy:
The penultimate step in my makeup look is lips! I applied The JSC X Manny MUA Daddy lipstick as it goes with any eye makeup look. This was limited edition so it's no longer available, but I love the shade so much. The tub is almost empty so I am going to be really sad when it is completely gone.

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Setting Spray:
Finally I spritzed my face with this amazing setting spray by Makeup Revolution. Ever since I started using this setting spray I have noticed a difference in my makeup. It increases the longevity of my makeup but it also helps to control oil and keep my face looking semi matte throughout a particularly long day.

The finished makeup look:)

That was my Winter makeup look! Let me know in the comments what your go to Winter makeup look is:)
