Makeup Collection: Highlighters

Hello everyone!

Highlighters are definitely one of my favourite makeup items, they're just so fun and pretty to look at too! Today I am going to be showing you through all of my highlighters and letting you know what I think of them all:)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit:
This was the first Anastasia Beverly Hills product I ever tried and it was a great starting choice for exploring the brand. All 6 shades in the palette are pigmented and are super glittery, which makes the cheekbones look extra glowy. I had never tried a purple or blue highlighter before I got this palette, but I'm so glad I did because they just look amazing.

Makeup Revolution Highlighter Palette:
I think that this MUR palette was one of the earliest highlighters I ever purchased, and it's quite bad when I think about how long I have had this in my collection for! These highlighters are some of the most blinding highlighters I own. The first shade is a gorgeous pearl shade, the middle shade is a peach and the last shade is a lavender. I sometimes mix all three of these highlighters together and let me tell you that the glow they give off is absolutely GLISTENING!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette:
I was so chuffed when I made my very first Hourglass purchase; this Ambient Lighting Palette. Hourglass is a very luxurious brand and I cherish this palette because it was fairly expensive. I don't use this all that often because of the price point, but I really should start using it more because that is what it was made for! I love using Dim Light in the Summer time all over my face as it is a really brightening powder and it gives off a lovely glow. Incandescent Light is great for applying where you would usually apply your highlighter; cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. Finally, the third shade in the palette is Radiant Light and this shade is more on the bronze side. I think that this makes a lovely all over the lid eye shadow.

The Balm Mary Lou Highlighter:
This is my ultimate every day highlighter because it's a wearable champagne shade with a lot of shimmer to it. I love the way that this catches the light and gives a lovely glow without looking too much for an every day look. I highly rate this!

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter in Peach Diamond:
If you're after a really affordable highlighter then MUA is definitely the way to go. I only own one shade at the moment but I am very happy with the one I have. It is called Peach Diamond and, even though it doesn't look very peachy in the pan, it gives a peachy glow. I really want to try some more shades and I know that I will love them if they're anything like this shade.

Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette:
Just look at how beautiful these highlighters are- they almost look metallic! The first shade in this palette is a cream lavender shade. I'm usually not a big fan of cream products but this looks lovely on it's own, or with the lavender powder highlighter on top of it. The shade I have been using the most out of this palette is, surprise surprise, the champagne shade. The peachy shade is also really lovely and looks stunning mixed with the other powder highlighters.

Makeup Geek Highlighter in Midnight Sun:
You may be wondering why this highlighter looks so strange, and that's because I ordered this offline and sadly it arrived broken. I did re press it as I thought it would be easier than sending it back and ordering another one, and I don't think it's affected the performance too much. This highlighter is a true golden shade and looks particularly lovely with a tan.

I Heart Makeup Unicorn Heart Rainbow Highlighter:
How pretty are the colours in this highlighter?! This is definitely not something which I would wear on an everyday basis because it's just so glamorous, but if you're going on a night out then this would be perfect. When you mix all of the shades together you get a gorgeous silver highlighter with a blue undertone and I think it would look amazing on all skin tones.

Barry M Strobe Cream in Galactic:
Onto the final two highlighters now! I actually completely forgot that I had this until I found it in my highlighter basket, but I have put it to the front of my collection so that I am encouraged to use it more often. When swatched, this looked like a beautiful iridescent pearl highlighter shade and I love that it just glides onto the skin really smoothly so I can guarantee that this will be very easy to blend out.

Benefit High Beam:
Last but not least, I have the Benefit High Beam. This is such a classic highlighter and I feel like everyone owns this highlighter so I'm not going to go into too much detail. I love mixing this in with my foundation on holiday because it gives me the most gorgeous healthy glow too.

I hope that you all enjoyed taking a look at my highlighter collection. You know the score by now- let me know in the comments which highlighter you're loving right now!
