There's nothing better than lounging around the pool reading - am I right?! I'm going on holiday soon so I thought that now would be the perfect time to share with you some of the books I've picked out to take with me on my travels this time.
History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera:
My first book pick is called History Is All You Left me and it is from the Zoella & Friends 2017 Book Club.
'Griffin has lost his first love in a drowning accident. Theo was his best friend, his ex-boyfriend and the one he believed he would end up with. Now, reeling from grief and worsening OCD, Griffin turns to an unexpected person for help. Theo's new boyfriend. But as their relationship becomes increasingly complicated, dangerous truths begin to surface. Griffin must make a choice: confront the past, or miss out on his future.'
The Start Of Me And You by Emery Lord:
The second book from the 2017 book club is The Start Of Me And You. I am very excited to read this book as it sounds very enticing;
'It's been a year since Paige's first boyfriend died in a swimming accident and it's time she rejoined the real world. So she makes a plan: 1. Date a boy (long-standing crush Ryan Chase seems like the perfect choice) 2. Attend parties (with best friends by your side: doable) 3. Join a club (simple enough, right?) 4. Travel (might as well dream big) 5. Swim (terrifying. Impossible)'
The One We Fell In Love With by Paige Toon:
This book by Paige Toon is from last years Zoella book club, but I can't wait to read it nonetheless.
'PHOEBE is caught between a rock and a hard place. Settle down and get married, or return to the French Alps to pursue her passion? ELIZA is in love with someone who is no longer hers. In fact, he probably never was... And her dream of becoming a successful musician seems to be vanishing before her eyes. ROSE is out of a job and out of a boyfriend. To make matters worse, she's been forced to move back in with her mother... But these very different girls have one thing in common. ANGUS. The one they fell in love with...'
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes:
I've seen the movie version of this book and it was absolutely heartbreaking so I am very excited to read the book, hopefully it's just as good as the film!
'She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now, and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that. What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.'
The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins:
Probably my favourite film to date is The Girl On The Train. I love a good thriller and this one is so gripping. I've actually already read this one but I will 100% be re reading it - it's just that good!
'Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She's even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. Their life- as she sees it- is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy. And then she sees something shocking, and in one moment everything changes. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she's only watched from afar. Now they'll see: she's much more than the girl on the train...'
