Christmas Gift Guide For HER (£10+)

Hello everyone!

It can be very tricky choosing presents for someone else, I do struggle sometimes too! Today I thought that I would share with you some gift ideas for the lady in your life, all of which are over £10. I have also done a post on stocking fillers, which are under £10, so make sure to give that a read too:)

Nivea Smooth Skin Moments Bodycare Gift Set:
Nivea is a great brand for people with sensitive skin. This gift set contains 5 products, all of which are full sized. Inside the set are products such as a lip balm and body lotion. I always get one of these sets for my Mam because she really enjoys Nivea products. The set is currently on offer in Superdrug for £10, and it is supposed to be £16, so definitely grab one while the offer is still on!

No7 Winter Nudes Nail Collection:
The next gift idea is nail polishes from No7. This set includes 5 gorgeous nail polish shades, all in shades which are perfect for the winter time. There are 4 'regular' nail polish shades and then the 5th is a really pretty gold top coat which you can either wear on its own or layered on top of another colour.

Jack Wills Black Ashridge Makeup Bag:
I actually bought this Jack Wills makeup bag for myself a few weeks ago but I wanted to include it in this post because I think that it is a great gift idea. The makeup bags from Jack Wills are really good quality and they aren't too expensive, despite them being from a brand which is on the pricier side. The makeup bag I have is a really good size for my handbag, but they do also sell bigger ones which you could fit all of your everyday makeup in. You could also use it as a pencil case if you really want to.

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits:
2016 has been the year of Kylie Cosmetics so it wouldn't be a Christmas gift guide without including some of her famous lip kits. The lip kits can be a little pricey with the cost of shipping on top of the lip kits themselves, but they're definitely worth it! My favourite shades are Candy K and Dolce K, I have actually almost ran out of Dolce K.

That is all of the items in my Christmas gift guide over £10. What was your favourite item from this guide?

Shop this post: Nivea Smooth Skin Moments Bodycare Gift Set (£16.00) // No7 Winter Nudes Nail Collection (£12.00) // Jack Wills Ashridge Makeup Bag in Black (£14.50) // Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits ($29.00 excluding shipping)

Winter Makeup Look

Hello everyone!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my go to Winter makeup look. I have been wearing this makeup look for the past few weeks as it is really simple, but it still looks glamorous and pretty.
The makeup look!

B. Cosmetics Popping Candy Highlighting Serum:
To start off the makeup look I primed my face using this serum from B. Cosmetics. I have been a fan of this for a long time now. I love the glowy effect that this gives from under my foundation. It also leaves my skin feeling really refreshed and moisturised throughout the day.

L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation:
For foundation I used the L'Oreal Infallible. I have been using this foundation on and off for a little while now and I really like it. I think that it is great paired with the highlighting serum, and it makes my skin look very healthy and fresh. I have been applying my foundation with a damp Real Techniques sponge recently and I am loving how it applies, I don't know why I didn't use a sponge sooner!

No7 Instant Radiance Concealer:
Under my eyes I took this No7 concealer which is really brightening and illuminating. I have dark circles under my eyes but this concealer really covers them up and brightens the whole under eye area in general. I desperately need to repurchase this as it is almost gone though.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder:
I always powder my face so that my makeup is set in place and will last all day long. Stay Matte has been my go to powder for a very long time now and it never seems to fail me. Definitely one to try if you haven't already.

MAC Warm Neutrals Eye Shadow Palette:
For my eye look I decided to keep it quite simple but glam and pretty at the same time. I used my MAC Warm Neutrals palette (obviously!) because I absolutely love it and all of the shades are really easy to work with.

The first shade I took was Dark Brew which I blended into the crease as my transition shade. This is a gorgeous burgundy shade and is very festive, perfect for this time of year.

I only used three different shadows for this eye look. The second shade I used is called Creative Copper. It is a really pretty shimmery frosted gold shade which I placed on the centre of the lid.

To finish off the look I used the shade Vanilla Extract on the inner corner to make my eyes really bright. I then took a big fluffy brush to blend all of the shades together.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Mascara:
I have been loving this mascara recently. This gives a ton of volume and length to the lashes, which is something I always look for in my mascaras. I always seem to get on really well with Rimmel mascaras so I was expecting great things from this mascara, and it hasn't disappointed at all. It is definitely up there in my top 5 mascaras!

MAC Sheertone Blush in Peachykeen:
To add some colour to my cheeks I decided on MAC Peachykeen. This isn't a really pigmented opaque blush, as it is a Sheertone, but it adds a really nice peachy glow to the cheeks.

Maybelline Master Sculpt Contour Duo:
I added some definition to my cheeks by contouring using this Maybelline duo. I really like the contour powder in this duo because it is very natural and doesn't look too harsh or chalky on the skin. I then highlighted using the corresponding highlight shade. The highlight shade is really buttery and isn't too 'in your face' for a daytime look.

Kylie Cosmetics Candy K Liquid Lipstick:
To finish off my makeup look I used Candy K by Kylie Jenner. Dolce K is usually my go to shade but I have been loving using this recently, as it is something different. I have also been switching up this lipstick and using the GOSH Matte Cinnamon lipstick some days too.

I really hope that you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourite products are for achieving that perfect Winter glow!

Until next time,

Christmas Gift Guide For HER (Stocking Fillers £10 & Under)

Hello everyone!

This is the first installment in my Christmas gift guide series. Today I am going to be sharing with you stocking filler ideas, all of which come in at £10 or under. I love stocking fillers as you can actually find some really good gifts for really low prices. I think that these ideas would also be good for Secret Santa gifts:)

Zoella Beauty:
I feel like you can't go wrong with Zoella Beauty products. The majority of her range is under £10 which means that her products make either great stocking fillers or great secret Santa gifts. Three products from her Christmas range which I would recommend are the Ginger Fizz Trio, Deck The Baubles and the Lip Balm Duo. All of the products are gingerbread themed this year, and I can tell you that everything smells incredible.

Jack Wills Body Spray Trio:
Jack Wills never fail to impress with their Christmas gifts. The Body Spray Trio is £10 and you get 3 125ml body sprays. Jack Wills is one of the more expensive brands on the high street, and I cannot believe the price of this gift set. The packaging makes it look so much more expensive!

You can never go wrong with LUSH products if you really don't know what to buy someone. I personally love LUSH and I know that a lot of people love LUSH products too. They do tons of different products so there is always something for everyone. The Christmas range is always my favourite range that LUSH release. I recently popped into LUSH and picked up a few of their Christmas products. I would definitely recommend the Father Christmas bath bomb and the Christmas Penguin bubble bar. The Butterbear bath bomb is also great for people with sensitive skin because it is packed full of great ingredients such as cocoa butter, and it is also £1.95 which makes it one of their more affordable bath bombs!

Yankee Candle Votives:
Candles are another great option for stocking fillers. I love the Yankee Candle Christmas scents, they all smell incredible. The Yankee Candle votives are a really good way to sample different fragrances without having to buy their full sized candles which are a little pricey. The votives retail for £1.80 and some of my favourites scents include Christmas Cookie and Christmas Garland.

If you are really in doubt about what to buy someone then you definitely cannot get better than chocolate or sweets. Superdrug sell lots of Christmas confectionary which isn't expensive at all. They sell brands such as Oreo, Maltesers and Toblerone.

I hope that this gift guide was useful to you. Let me know in the comments what you would love to receive in your stocking this year!

Shop this post: Zoella Ginger Fizz Trio (£9.00) // Zoella Deck The Baubles (£6.00) // Zoella Lip Balm Duo (£7.00) // Jack Wills Body Spray Trio (£10.00) // LUSH Father Christmas Bath Bomb (£3.75) // LUSH Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar (£3.95) // LUSH Butterbear Bath Bomb (£1.95) // Yankee Candle Votives (£1.80 each) // Toblerone (£3.00) // Oreo Gift Ball (£3.00)

New In Beauty #10 | MAC Cosmetics Christmas

Hello everyone!

I didn't think that I could find a collection which looks even better than the other brands I have talked about in this series so far, but I was so wrong! The MAC Nutcracker Sweet collection is exclusive to MAC this holiday season. The packaging is so cute and the products look absolutely amazing. Carry on reading to find out more!

There are a whole range of products in this collection including lipsticks, eye liners, pigments and face powders.

There are 5 lipsticks in the range; 3 of which are matte. My favourite lipstick finish, as you all know, is matte. There isn't any nude lipsticks in the range, but I love the look of Leap Of Delight. It is a gorgeous shade, and it's matte too!

Kingdom Of Sweets-  Soft milky pink (Cremesheen)
Flamboyish- Hot deep pink (Matte)
Saucy Little Darling- Deep coral red (Amplified Creme)
So Good For You- Intense cool red (Matte)
Leap Of Delight- Deep plum purple (Matte)

Eye Shadows:
The next items in the range are eye shadows; of which there is 6 of them. I would actually happily wear all of these shadows because the colours are absolutely stunning. MAC shadows in general are really pigmented and easy to work with, so no doubt these ones are the same. Again, I am drawn to another purple shade called Dark Lullaby. I can't even imaging how insane this would look on the eyes!

Dance Flowers Dance- Light pink
Forward March- Peachy gold shimmer
Pretty Dainty- Pink coral shimmer
Rabblerouser- Bright intense pink
Dark Lullaby- Midnight purple
Mustache- Black with gold sparkle

I have never tried any of the MAC pigments before, but I always hear makeup artists raving about them. There are two different shades in the range this year, both of which are pink shades. I'm not usually one for pink on my eyes, but I would totally use both of these. If I had to pick, I would say that Rose is my favourite shade because it is sparkly and would be perfect for a glam night time makeup look.

Rose- Rose with copper sparkle
Process Magenta- Bright magenta

I'm not a really big eyeliner wearer so these are not something that I would go out of my way to buy, but they are a nice concept and I'm sure that they will be enjoyed by many people. I used to wear eyeliner religiously but I don't really bother with it anymore because it takes me absolutely ages to get it perfect. There are three different shades of eyeliners. If I was going to buy one of the eyeliners from the collection then I would probably choose Powersurge because it is a little bit different, but it still looks really nice.

Powersurge- Bronzed brown with golden shimmer
Prunella- Purple
Feline- Black

Magic Dust Powder:
I have never heard of a 'Magic Dust Powder' from MAC before. I had a little read into the whole concept and they are basically powders which you can dust all over your face and neck to create a light catching glow to the skin. I am a fan of anything peachy so if I was to buy one of the powders I would definitely choose Sweet Vision.

Yum Yum- Soft pink with gold pearl
Sweet vision- Pinky peach with gold pearl

Lip & Eye Bags:
As well as the induvidual products in the range, there are also gift sets as well. The first gift sets that MAC have this year are lip and eye bags. There are two different colour options for the lip bags, and two colour options for the eye bags too. I love the nude lip bag and both of the eye bags, so I will definitely try and get my hands on those.

Red Lip Bag
Nude Lip Bag
Plum Eye Bag
Smoky Eye Bag

Mini Kits:
I love when brands come out with mini products; because they're really cute and it's also a great way to sample new products without having to splash out on the full sized versions before you actually know if you like the product or not. I was not disappointed when I saw all of the different mini kits on offer this year. The packaging is gorgeous and there are definitely kits that everyone will like. It looks as if I will be definitely taking a trip down to my local MAC counter soon haha!

Red Lipstick Kit
Nude Lipstick Kit
Nude Lip Gloss Kit
Red Lip Gloss Kit
Pink Patentpolish Kit
Nude Patentpolish Kit
Gold Pigments and Glitter Kit
Bronze Pigments and Glitter Kit

Retro Matte Kits:
I love matte lip products so I was so excited when I saw that there are two sets dedicated entirely to matte lip products. I must say that the plum kit is definitely something that I would really love. I wish that there were more colour options for the matte kits, but this is the first time MAC have done something like this. I'm sure next year they will release more colour choices:)

Plum Retro Matte Kit
Pink Retro Matte Kit

Brush Kits:
I have never tried any of the MAC brushes before but I have always wanted to try some. I always hear people talking about how amazing their brushes are, so I don't really have an excuse as to why I've never tried them before. There are 4 different kits to choose from; all of which have stunning packaging and designs!

Essential Brush Kit
Mineralize Brush Kit
Basic Brush Kit
Contour Brush Kit

Those are all of the products in the MAC 2016 holiday collection. I think that everything looks amazing! Which of the items are you going to buy?

Mini Haul | Ft. LUSH, Hollister & Jack Wills

Hello everyone!

I recently went on a little shopping trip and picked up a few different things. I tried not to buy too much because Christmas is nearing, but I just HAD to pick up a few beauty bits anyway! Keep on reading to find out what I bought:)

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of LUSH products. I managed to tame myself and only bought four products; 3 of which are bath bombs and one of which is a bubble bar.

The first bath bomb I bought is called Butterbear. I really like this one for when my skin is feeling particularly dry and dehydrated. Butterbear contains cocoa butter which is really nourishing and moisturising. It also smells really nice, and the design is very cute!

The next bath bomb I picked up is Luxury Lush Pud, which is a Christmas classic. I never fail to purchase Luxury Lush Pud because it is one of my favourite Christmas products from LUSH. Also, the colours are absolutely beautiful when you pop it in the bath:)

Thirdly I bought the Father Christmas bath bomb. I am a big fan of the Snow Fairy products that LUSH release every year, and this bath bomb has the exact same scent as those. On the outside it may look like a baby pink shade; but once it is in the bath it turns a vibrant green shade. If you like the Snow Fairy range, then I would definitely recommend this candy floss scented bath bomb.

Finally I picked up the Christmas Penguin bubble bar. I love LUSH bubble bars because you only need to crumble a small amount of product under running water to create a mountain of bubbles. It also smells really great and the design is very cute!

Jack Wills:
I only bought one item from Jack Wills which was a makeup bag. The style I bought is the Ashridge Makeup Bag in Black. The bag itself isn't huge so you it wouldn't be very useful for storing my everyday makeup, but it is the perfect size for popping in my handbag. I like to carry around a few on the go makeup essentials with me whenever I'm out, and this fits all of these in perfectly. The material of the bag makes it easy to wipe clean, therefore you can give it a quick wipe if there are any spillages. At £14.50 I think it is safe to say that this makeup bag is a great purchase. If you are not a fan of the plain black version with a gold zip then they do also sell other designs which are equally as nice.

The final shop I visited is Hollister. I love their Christmas body spray so I went in store and bought three (it just smells so good!) for £18. The sprays are actually £11 each, but there is a deal on at the moment where you can buy three sprays for £18, which means you are saving quite a bit of money:) I don't really know how to describe the scent of the body spray, but it is very similar to last years fragrance, and I can definitely smell some sort of coconut in there too. If you have a Hollister store near you then definitely go in and have a smell, it's one of my favourite scents EVER!

That is everything I have bought recently. It isn't a great amount of stuff but I still wanted to share it with you anyway. What is your most recent purchase(s)?

Shop this post: Butterbear Bath Bomb (£1.95) // Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb (£4.25) // Father Christmas Bath Bomb (£3.75) // Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar (£3.95) // Jack Wills Ashridge Makeup Bag in Black (£14.50) // Hollister Wish & Wander Holiday Mist (£11.00 each or 3 for £18.00)

Until next time,
Emily xo
