LUSH Christmas 2018 | Top Picks

Hello everyone!

One of my favourite things about the festive season is all of the amazing LUSH products- I just can't get enough of them and would buy them all year round if I could! As soon as this parcel arrived the classic LUSH smell hit me and it reminded me just how much I love their products. Carry on reading to see what lovely things I picked up and would recommend this Christmas.

Butterbear Bath Bomb (£2.75):
This bath bomb is perfect for anyone who has sensitive skin as it's very gentle on the skin. It's also great if you have dry skin as it contains cocoa which is a very nourishing and hydrating ingredient. The scent of this bath bomb is that clean scent that everyone knows and loves.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb (£4.95):
This has been a long time Christmas favourite of mine for many years now, which is why I picked up two of these. The scent is just so soft and not overpowering at all, sort of like baby powder. It also helps that all of the colours look beautiful when you pop this one in your bath.

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb (£5.50):
Golden Wonder is another classic Christmas product from LUSH and again, I have been loving this one for a long time. This bath bomb is more on the citrus side but has some musky undertones to it.

Santa Bomb Bomb Bath Bomb (£9.95):
I just think this bath bomb is great- it looks amazing and smells just as good! This bath bomb is the true meaning of Christmas as it's Santa and spices all in one. This has got to be one of my favourite products from this years Christmas range and you'll know why if you've smelled this; its divine.

Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb (£5.25):
The Snow Fairy range is definitely what LUSH is most known for at Christmas time. I picked up three of their sweet smelling products, first off their Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb. I haven't used any of their jelly bombs before but this is going to be so fun!

Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar (£6.95):
Reusable bubble bars are really great as you can get so many sweet bubble baths from them. Magic Wand creates loads of luscious sparkly bubbles which smell just like candy floss. Another classic which I have been using for years.

Naughty Elf Bubble Bar (£5.95):
I instantly fell in love with this bubble bar as it smells very similar to my all time favourite bath bomb from LUSH- Avobath. This is on the citrus side and is very uplifting, perfect for those early morning baths.

Candy Mountain Yule Log Bubble Bar (£3.95):
When I took a sniff of this bubble bar it absolutely reminded me why I was obsessed with the Snow Fairy range for SO long. This is like absolute heaven in a product and I can guarantee I will be stocking up on these before the festive period ends. If you have not tried any of the Snow Fairy scented products before then you are 100% missing out!

Those were all of the lovely LUSH goodies which I have picked up so far this festive season. What are your fave Christmas LUSH products this year!

Until next time,

Everyday Makeup Products | Autumn 2018

Hello everyone!

I honestly cannot remember the last time I shared my full everyday makeup routine and all of the products I'm using on a daily basis. With that in mind, today I am going to be sharing the products which I will continually be using this Autumn.

Benefit Porefessional Primer:
The key to your makeup is starting off with the right product; and that for me is the Benefit Porefessional. This has actually been hiding in the back of my drawer and I haven't reached for it in a while but I will certainly not let that happen again. This smooths my skin out beautifully ready for the rest of my makeup.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation in 4.N Beige:
I have been loving this foundation ever since I tried it out last month. I'm about to go on holiday so the darker shade will match my skin perfectly, but for now I'm liking the darker look as it makes me look more healthy. The foundation sits nicely between matte and dewy, and compliments the skin so well. It also isn't too thick so it blends out really easily and quickly. This will definitely be a part of my everyday makeup routine for the foreseeable future:)

Kat Von D Lock It Concealer in Light Neutral 01:
To brighten up my under eye area and make myself look half awake I'm using the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer in one of the lightest shades. This offers an amazing coverage, just like the corresponding foundation, and is perfect for covering up my dark circles. This shade is just so brightening too and I love it!

RCMA No Colour Loose Powder:
Of course I want to set my base makeup in place so that it doesn't budge all day, and for that I use the RCMA No Colour loose powder. This is great as it doesn't alter your skin tone but does a great job at preventing creasing and any oiliness poking through.

Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette:
I have mentioned so many times on this blog that this KVD contour palette has got to be my ultimate favourite product to contour with. It blends out so effortlessly and sculpts the cheekbones so that they look absolutely perfect. You can see that this is really well loved and I desperately need to repurchase this because my favourite shades are nearly gone.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Sarcophagus:
You all know me; I love a blinding highlight! My favourite highlighters for a really blinding look are the Jeffree Star Skin Frosts. The shade I'm using at the minute is Sarcophagus and just look how beautiful it is! There are so many other gorgeous shades and I definitely need to get my hands on them.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Ring The Alarm Eye Shadow Palette:
Autumn is the time for warm toned eye shadows; and my favourite one at the moment is the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Ring The Alarm palette. This is one of the four palettes in her vault collection and the one which spoke to me the most as it's full of gorgeous warm toned shadows. I have been loving the shades Alert and Mugshot mixed together as a transition shade, and then I love going into the outer corner with Framed and Siren mixed. Finally, I like taking either Lolli or On Camera on the centre of the lid.

Clinique High Impact Mascara:
I like long, separated, voluminous lashes and this is the mascara I have been using recently to get just that. I remember using a sample of this mascara years ago however this is the first time I've used the full size product and it's exactly how I remember it; extremely lengthening.

Benefit Gimme Brow in Shade 03:
Gimme Brow is one of the only brow gels I trust to make my brows look amazing and keep them that way. This has been an important product in my makeup routine for some time now and I am yet to find another product that works just as well.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Gemini:
Of course it wouldn't be a makeup-related post without mentioning a Jeffree Star liquid lipstick! The shade I'm really liking at the minute and I'm pretty sure will be my Autumn 2018 lip is Gemini as it is like a vampy warm-toned nude.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray:
For about 4 months now I have been using this amazing setting spray to set my makeup into place. I wasn't expecting this to make a difference to my makeup but after using it for the first time in August I just knew that this had to become a product that I use on an everyday basis. I don't know what's in this to make your makeup look amazing for hours on end but it really does work!

Those are all of the products I have been using in my everyday makeup routine, and will continue to use throughout the Autumn. What products do you have in your everyday makeup routine at the minute?

Until next time,

Currently Loving #16

Hello everyone!

As you should all know by now, this is my favourite type of blog post to write as I absolutely love sharing new products which I know you will all love too. I knew that I didn't want to leave it too long to share with you what I am loving at the minute as I have a few things to share today.

NuMe Classic Curling Wand 19mm (£60.00):
Back in July I got my hair cut just above my shoulders which was quite a change as my hair used to be really long. I curl my hair most days however the curling wand I had used previously was a bit big for my shorter hair, so I knew that I had to pick up a smaller one immediately. I had heard great things about the NuMe curling wands so I decided to go for their 19mm curler, and it's the absolute perfect size for my hair length. One thing I will say about this is that the plug is European so you have to attach a EU to UK adapter to it, but luckily I already had one at home! Other than that I have been using this most days and I am obsessed with the loose curls it produces.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Ring The Alarm Eye Shadow Palette (£15.00):
I bought this palette the day that it was released as it was very hyped about and so I obviously wanted to try it out for myself. I was debating whether to purchase the whole vault of 4 palettes but I decided just to go for the one palette as I know that the shades in this palette are something I will reach for very regularly. The shades in the Ring The Alarm palette are all gorgeous warm toned shadows which means they are perfect for this time of year when pretty much all I wear is warm toned shades! The shadows are buttery and blend out nicely on the eyes, whilst keeping their high pigmentation. I kind of wish I had purchased the whole vault now!

Bottom to top: Lolli, Boom, Bomb Ass & Framed

Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Temptation (£15.00):
You may recall from my duty free haul back in August that I picked up a few Victoria's Secret body mists, and there is one scent in particular which I am obsessed with. I love Victoria's Secret body mists in general as the fragrance always lasts on me all day and the Temptation body mist has been very well loved by me over the past few months. I am no good at describing scents but one thing I can say about this is that it is quite a musky scent which I particularly love for the Autumn/Winter. I will definitely be picking up more bottles of this in the future as it is my signature scent right now!

River Island Silver Glitter Block Heel Ankle Boot (£42.00):
I owned a very similar pair of these boots last year, except they were gold, however I was really sad when the zip broke. These are the perfect staple shoes to add to you collection so I knew that as soon as I found something similar I would be buying them without a doubt. A few weeks ago I came across these and I immediately bought them! I love anything glittery so you can imagine I'm absolutely in love with these.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit (£41.00):
I have no idea why I didn't pick this up sooner as I have been eyeing it up for ages now! I have been absolutely loving a glowy, highlighted look lately and this palette is a great addition to my highlighter collection. The shades are great for all skin tones and they just look beautiful; my favourite shades being Marshmallow and Butterscotch.

Left to right: Marshmallow &  Butterscotch

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam (£8.00):
Like I just mentioned, I have been loving the dewy look recently and so I wanted to pick up a liquid highlighter which I can use on my declitage. This looks so pretty and I will be taking it along with me on holiday as it's going to look even more stunning with a tan!

L'Oreal True Match Foundation in 4.N Beige (£9.99):
This foundation has been one which I have been meaning to try for some time and I have finally gotten round to it recently. I bought the shade 4.N Beige, which is a little darker than my usual skin tone, as I am going on holiday very soon so I will be more tanned than usual. I also like to use a foundation slightly darker because it just makes me look a lot more healthy. The formula of the foundation isn't really thick but isn't super runny either; it's just right. It offers a medium coverage which I have actually been loving a lot recently as it makes your skin look flawless whilst still looking sort of natural. Big thumbs up from me:)

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Semi-Permanent Hair Dye in 550 Mahogany (£6.79):
I started dying my hair about 2 months ago as I just fancied a change, and the shade I've been dying it with is very Autumn/Wintery. I love this hair dye range as it doesn't contain ammonia and is also very conditioning on the hair too. This lasts around a month as it's semi-permanent; I just wish they did a permanent version!

Tresemme Colour Revitalise Shampoo (£5.49):
Last but not least, the final product I have been religiously using is this Tresemme Colour Revitalise shampoo. This was on offer in Superdrug so I picked it up and I really wish I had of got a few more bottles as this has helped to keep my hair colour vibrant, whilst also making my hair silky smooth. The bottle is huge and so it will last you quite some time, even if you wash your hair daily like me. If you have coloured hair this is an essential product that you NEED!

Those are the gems I have been using and loving recently. What are your current faves?

Best Of Luxury Makeup

Hello everyone!

Following on from my 'Best Of Affordable Makeup' post I thought that I would explore the other end of the scale and share my favourite high end makeup products. I love treating myself to high end makeup hence why I own such a range of high end products, and I want to share the ones with you that I think are really worth the splurge:)

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation:
I mentioned a drugstore foundation in my previous post however I am also obsessed with this foundation. This is definitely a heavy duty foundation which you can rely on to last for as long as you could possibly need it too. The formula of this foundation is on the thicker side and it sets to a matte finish but I still like to set it with powder for extra longevity. I just love this so much I am on to my third bottle and am going to be purchasing another pretty soon.

Kat Von D Lock It Loose Powder:
Usually the loose powder I use to set my everyday makeup is this Kat Von D Lock It one. It goes hand in hand with the foundation and is great for baking the face or applying all over the face to set everything in place. A lot of powders can alter the shade of your face but this one doesn't, whilst still brightening and mattifying the complexion.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette:
This is the first ABH eye shadow palette I have tried before but after my experience with this one I will definitely be buying more in the future. The shades in the Soft Glam palette just screamed to me so I knew that I had to make this my first ABH eye shadow palette purchase. The palette consists of gorgeous neutral shades and the shimmers are absolutely stunning also. I was really impressed with the pigmentation of the shadows in this palette and also how easy they were to blend out.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara:
I have been using this mascara for such a long time as it makes my lashes look absolutely incredible, and I cannot find any other mascara which makes my lashes look as good as this does. One coat of this mascara and your lashes are long and voluminous. Who needs falsies?!

Benefit Gimme Brow:
Another gem from Benefit that I love is the Gimme Brow which is a brow gel. I desperately need to repurchase a new tube of this as mine is running low but my brows look so voluminous when I use this brow gel. Don't get me wrong, I love my NYX brow gel which I mentioned in my drugstore favourites post but this is such an amazing product and it's nice to add a bit of luxury to your makeup routine.

Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette:
I have loved and used this contour palette for about two years now. You can clearly see which shades are my favourite from the palette as they are very well loved and I will be buying a new one soon as no other contour product works as well as this one. It blends out amazingly well and sculpts my cheekbones to perfection. I don't know if I would be able to live without this amazing palette!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Sarcophagus:
My favourite highlighter brand has got to be JSC as the pigmentation is on a whole other planet! His highlighters are so blinding and I always get complimented when I am wearing one of his Skin Frosts. My favourite shade is Sarcophagus, which is a gorgeous champagne shade, but I own a few of them and they are all equally as lovely.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette:
I just had to include this luxurious Hourglass palette in this post too as it is one of my favourite luxury purchases although I haven't used it in a little while. I used to be obsessed with this back when I first bought it and I really should use it more often. The three shades in the palette are more on the natural side but they offer a lovely glow nonetheless. The far right shade is beautiful on the collarbones and shoulders when you've got a tan.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin:
I decided to choose just one JSC liquid lipstick for this post because I will be doing a full Jeffree Star Cosmetics collection soon, so keep an eye out for that! My most favourite shade has got to be Celebrity Skin as I've went through three tubes of this lovely natural nude shade. It's absolutely perfect for everyday wear hence why I've gone through so much of it.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray:
This has got to be my favourite high end makeup product EVER! I honestly didn't think that this would make a difference to the longevity of my makeup whatsoever but I can say that it really does and I don't know what I was doing without this. I am going to stock up on this setting spray so that I never run out of it! I wear my makeup for very long periods, especially when I'm at work, and I have definitely noticed that this extends the wear of my makeup and makes my face look fresher for a lot longer.

Those are all of the luxury items that I love and use all of the time. What's your favourite high end makeup product?

Until next time,
Emily xo
