A Quick LUSH Haul!

Hello everyone!

I couldn't resist popping into LUSH at the weekend and treating myself to a few products. I only got five things and I am actually quite proud of how well I managed to control myself and not buy one of everything from the store! October to December is definitely my favourite period to shop for LUSH products as I always love the Halloween and Christmas ranges, everything just smells so good.

Bewitched Bubble Bar (£4.25):
The first product that I picked up is from the Halloween range, and it's the Bewitched Bubble Bar. The whole design of this bubble bar is really cute as it's a black cat- and I love cats! I love sweet scented products and I love fruity scented products, and this is just the perfect mix of the two. It is blackberry scented but also has a sweetness to it.

Pumpkin Bath Bomb (£4.25):
The second, and last, item I got from the Halloween range is the Pumpkin Bath Bomb. The scent of this bath bomb was very unexpected, but I love it nonetheless. I was expecting this to have quite a heavy spice scent to it, but it is not like that at all. It does have an underlying spicy scent to it but it is prominently sweet. I actually think that this smells like a sweet shop in a bath bomb, I bet it would taste delicious if it was edible haha!

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar (£3.25):
This bubble bar is such a classic that I purchase year after year. I have talked about this on my blog so many times because it smells like a dream. The scent of the bubble bar is very sweet so it can be really hit or miss for a few people, but it's a definite hit in my book:)

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb (£4.50):
I never really know how to describe the scent of this bath bomb but this is another Christmas product which I have been buying for years now. The bath bomb has lots of different lovely colours so it is definitely not boring on that front. The scent isn't really strong from this bath bomb so it definitely isn't overpowering; you can't go wrong with Luxury Lush Pud in my opinion.

Brightside Bubble Bar (£4.95):
Finally, the last item that I bought is the Brightside Bubble Bar. This is from the permanent LUSH collection and I also mentioned it in my all year round LUSH favourites post which you can read here. Brightside is the perfect morning bubble bar as it has a very zesty scent to it which is very uplifting and really wakes you up.

I hope that you enjoyed finding out what I bought in LUSH! What was your most recent LUSH purchase?

The A To Z Book Tag

Hello everyone!

I have been reading so much recently and when I saw this book related tag on Jemmas Simple Life I just knew that I had to do it! I do love a good tag post every now and again, so expect similar posts in the future:)

Author you have read the most books from:
I actually wasn't sure about this one so I had a quick look through my book collection and saw that I don't have multiple books from any authors. I really enjoy reading varied writing styles which is why I don't tend to religiously read every book that a particular author has ever produced. The authors I have been enjoying recently, however, include Paige Toon, Adam Silvera and Emery Lord.

Best sequel ever:
I actually don't think that I have read any sequels, which is quite shocking I suppose! There is a sequel which I am going to be buying very soon; but I will get onto that later.

Currently reading:
I am currently reading The One We Fell In Love With by Paige Toon. I am about 60 pages in at the moment and I love the story line. I have really been getting into romance books recently; as I used to prefer to read thriller style books.

Drink of choice when reading:
If I am reading a really good book then I don't tend to drink anything because I am always so into the story line that I forget to drink. I do love to make myself a nice cup of tea before I start reading a book, but it tends to go cold most of the time!

E-reader or physical book:
I definitely prefer a physical book. I got an e-reader a few years ago but I stopped using it after a few weeks as I really missed holding a book. I know e-readers can be great as you can take them on holiday and they don't take up luggage allowance, but I just find it so hard to read when I don't have a physical book in my hands!

Glad you gave a book a chance:
I am a big fan of YouTube and I love to support YouTubers by purchasing their books as and when they release them, but I never expect too much. I was very surprised by Joe Sugg's graphic novels (Username:Evie and Username:Regenerated) as I really enjoyed them. I had never read a graphic novel before then, but I would definitely read more if I found genres that I am particularly interested in. I am actually going to read them again because they were so good, and it's not often that I read books a second time:)

Hidden gem:
It's not a hidden gem as such because it's a very popular book in general, but I am including it in this section as I really haven't met anyone else who has read this book. It is Anne Frank The Diary Of A Young Girl, and it was such a brilliant read. I read this a long time ago and it was heartbreaking when the diary just suddenly stops on 1st August 1944 (as Anne and her family were captured by the Nazis) but it was a really interesting and inspiring read.

Important moment in your reading life:
I actually cannot think of one...oops!

Just finished:
The last book I finished is called Frozen Charlotte. I mentioned earlier that I want to read the sequel to this book as Frozen Charlotte had an amazing story and really kept me hooked.

Kind of books you won't read:
There isn't a type of book I won't read as I don't have a particular taste. I like to read books of all genres as sometimes you can get a pleasant surprise and enjoy a book which you never expected to like.

Longest book you've ever read:
All of the books I have read have been around the same length. But, I went through my book collection and found out that the longest book I have read is in fact The Girl On The Train, which has 409 pages. I know that there are books out there which are over 1,000 pages so 409 doesn't seem a lot, but it's the longest I own anyway.

Major book hangover:
Most books I read end up in me not wanting to put a book down, but I do have a level of self control so when it gets TOO late I do force myself to stop reading and put the book down. It does frustrate me if I am really into a book and then have to stop reading for one reason or another, but then it leaves me excited to continue reading the next day.

Number of book cases you own:
I actually really need to get a book case of some sort as I don't own one at the moment, and I instead have all of my books stored in Lakeland Faux Rattan Large Storage Basket. I would love to get a book case to display all of my books on; but at the moment the baskets are all I have to work with.

One book you've read multiple times:
I don't think I have ever read a book multiple times but there are a few books which I want to read again.

Preferred place to read:
I usually read in my bedroom, 99% of the time that will be either on or in my bed. I'm not the sort of person who can take a book out the house with me as I really prefer to read in a quiet environment; rather than a busy bus or noisy cafe.

Quote that inspires you:
I can't think of one off the top of my head, but let me know in the comments if you have a book quote which inspires you!

Reading regret:
I don't have any books that I regret reading but I do regret that I never used to read as much as what I do now. I went through a phase where I never read a book for about 2 years, but now that I read pretty much everyday I now wish that I read a few years ago.

Series you started and needed to finish:
I don't tend to read books that come from a series as I don't like to read the same genre for an extended period of time. The only series which I have actually read is the Girl Online series by Zoella. I did thoroughly enjoy all three books and I really hope that Zoe extends the series in the future.

Three favourite books of all time:
This is a very hard one but if I had to choose three then I would say History Is All You Left Me (Adam Silvera), Frozen Charlotte (Alex Bell) and The Girl On The Train (Paula Hawkins).

Unapologetic fan girl for:
I'm not really the fan girl type to be honest!

Very excited for this release:
Charlotte Says; which is a sequel to a book called Frozen Charlotte. This is the book which came to mind earlier when I got onto the 'best sequel ever' section. I read Frozen Charlotte in pretty much one day and I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel as the story line of the first book was very gripping and intense to read. The sequel is already out, but I wanted to include it here anyway:)

Worst bookish habit:
Definitely buying too many books! I buy a few books at once and then it takes me a while to get round to them because I already have a pile of books in my collection which I am yet to read.

X marks the spot- pick the 27th book on your shelf:
I don't have a book shelf, as I mentioned earlier, so I just picked books out of my baskets. The 27th book which I picked out is Binge by Tyler Oakley. Tyler is a YouTuber and Binge was such a fun book to read. If you are looking for a lighthearted book then this would be a great one to go for.

Your latest purchase:
I bought two books before I went on holiday in August; History Is All You Left Me and The Start Of Me And You. I read both books whilst I was away and I enjoyed every second of them!

Zzz snatcher book (the latest book that kept you awake):
The Girl On The Train was a book which I found very hard to put down at bedtime. If I am hooked on a book then that can potentially become dangerous for my sleeping pattern, but the majority of the time I do manage to put it down.

I hope that you enjoyed this fun little tag post! If you do this tag then make sure to leave a link in the comments section and I will definitely check out your post:)

Get Halloween Ready With Rimmel | Shades Of Black Collection*

Hello everyone!

Rimmel are one of my favourite drugstore brands, and I was very excited when they sent me their new Shades Of Black Range. The Shades Of Black range was designed by singer Rita Ora; and the shades are absolutely perfect for the upcoming Halloween season. In today's blog post I thought that I would share some of my favourite items from the collection:)

Oh My Gloss! Lip Glosses:
The first three items from the range are the Oh My Gloss! lip glosses. The three shades that I have are Desire, Moonlight and Rita's Black. Desire is a lovely dark red shade, and I can definitely see myself wearing it in the Winter months. The other two shades are perfect for Halloween as they are very daring; one is a dark blue shade and the other is a deep black. I have never worn a blue or black lip product before so I was very intrigued to try them out. I definitely wouldn't wear these on a daily basis but they are very bold and certainly make a statement! As far as application goes; the formula is on the thicker side but they do glide on the lips really evenly. The glosses do also have a strong perfume scent to them, which I personally like, but I know that the scent won't be to everyones taste.

60 Seconds Nail Polishes:
I also have three of the 60 Seconds nail polishes. These nail polishes are really nice as they have an amazing quick drying formula which means that you don't have to sit around for ages and wait for your nails to dry. There are seven different shades in the collection and I have three of them; Midnight Ting, Darkest Desires and Matte Black. I love Midnight Ting as it is a gorgeous plum shade with hints of sparkle to it. I also love Darkest Desires and have been wearing this the most often out of the three shades. Darkest Desires is a very deep blood red shade. The final shade is Matte Black, and it is pretty self explanatory. I don't really wear black nail polishes but I think that this would look lovely alongside a glittery accent nail.

Wonder'fully Real Mascara:
The Wonder'fully Real Mascara has been repackaged in light of the Shades Of Black Collection. I had never tried the mascara in the previous packaging, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I have to be honest; I am not the hugest fan of this mascara and I don't think that I will be using it again. The mascara does make my lashes very dark and long, but it also makes them look clumpy. I am not the biggest fan of the clumpy lash look, but if that's what you like then you might just enjoy this mascara.

I am absolutely loving the lip glosses and nail polishes at the moment. Definitely let me know what you think if you decide to try them out:)
